Networks and Partner Institutes
International networking forms one of FRIAS's central strategic goals. The Institute is involved in a number of different renowned international consortia:

FRIAS also attaches particular importance to collaboration in the tri-border region of France, Germany and Switzerland. Academics from the universities of Strasbourg, Freiburg and Basel are already working together in numerous joint research projects, and FRIAS aims to continue intensifying these links.
Thanks to the successful application of the Université de Strasbourg Institut d’Études Avancées’s (USIAS) to the French Excellence Initiative concrete collaborative projects began in October 2013. Research groups from different disciplines conduct their research as joint fellows of FRIAS and USIAS.
