Jian Cui

Physics
Postdoc with Junior Fellow Florian Mintert

CV

Jian Cui majored in applied physics and received the bachelor degree from Sichuan University (China) in the year 2007. From 2007 to 2013 he did his PhD under the supervision of Professor Heng Fan at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). During his PhD period, he has worked with Associate Professor Kwek Leong Chuan in the Centre for Quantum Technologies in National University of Singapore as a research assistant in 2011. And from Nov. 2011 to Oct. 2012 he has been selected to take the joint doctoral promotion program between CAS and Max Planck Society to study and research in the theory division of the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ). His research field in MPQ was matrix product state simulation of many body systems. He then finished his PhD thesis titled "quantum information principle in many body physics and its applications" and received his PhD degree in CAS. In April 2013, he joined Junior Fellow Florian Mintert's group at FRIAS.
