What could be a more suitable topic for a dinner speech than food? And what could be a more interdisciplinary topic than food, its interest stretching from Life Sciences and Soft Matter Research to History, Language and Literature? My focus, though, will be on the aesthetic potential of food, its preparation and consumption, and will culminate in recent developments of ‘food art’.
