FRIAS Director Bernd Kortmann was voted President-elect of the International Society for the Linguistics of English
FRIAS Director Bernd Kortmann, Professor of English language and linguistics at the University of Freiburg, was voted President-elect by the members of the International Society for the Linguistics of English (ISLE). As of now he will be a member of the ISLE board for a total of six years, with his two-year term as President of ISLE to begin in the summer of 2023.
