2 Current Calls for Application for Junior Researchers at FRIAS
FRIAS Junior Fellowships 2015/16

FRIAS offers five junior fellowships for outstanding junior researchers at the University of Freiburg (all disciplines) for ten months within the period from October 1, 2015 to July 31, 2016.
Eligible for application are Freiburg junior researchers after completion of their PhD
a) who hold a temporary state position at the University of Freiburg for the duration of the entire funding period (October 2015 to July 2016), or
b) who finance their own position at the University of Freiburg through third-party funding raised by themselves (again throughout the period from October 2015 until July 2016).
Junior researchers on other third-party funded positions or with a contract duration not spanning the entire funding period are not eligible within this funding programme.
The successful applicants will become FRIAS Junior Fellows for the requested funding period. They will be released from their teaching and committee duties by the Rectorate; their teaching replacement will be supported through FRIAS funding of 16.000 €. Furthermore, fellows will be granted a research cost contribution of 5.000 €.
Competition for Junior Researcher Conferences at FRIAS

FRIAS invites again proposals from all disciplines for Junior Researcher Workshops/Conferences of several days duration. The workshops/conferences will take place at FRIAS between July 2015 and March 2016.
Eligible for application are junior researchers from all disciplines at the University of Freiburg (PhD students, postdocs, junior professors).
Successful applicants are granted the opportunity to conduct their workshop/conference at FRIAS. Furthermore, FRIAS will support them with comprehensive administrative assistance as well as a financial contribution of up to 8.000 €.
