Singularity
The concept of singularity is important for a large number of philosophers, from Kant to Derrida, and I have found it extremely useful in discussing the nature of the literary work. This is not mathematical singularity nor the singularity that awaits us when artificially intelligent beings take over the world, but a property of an artefact that is, paradoxically, both the same and different, both old and new, both particular and general. I am interested in knowing whether it is a term that is, or could be, useful in other fields as well
