From neuronal networks to Eco-Cities: Three FRIAS Project Groups during the Academic Year 2015/16
Chemical epigenetic, Eco-Cities and Neuronal Networks: During the Academic Year 2015/16 FRIAS supports three project groups with a broad range of subjects, each of which will focus on a highly topical research question for a period of 12-15 months. Four to six researchers from the University of Freiburg will use this project group format for research collaboration at an early stage.
FRIAS Summer Retreat 2015 on Complex-Algebraic and Arithmetic Geometry
In September and October during the term-break 2015 FRIAS will host a group of pure mathematician guest scientists, who will come together on invitation of Internal Senior Fellow Professor Stefan Kebekus to discuss their findings in the field of Complex-Algebraic and Arithmetic Geometry.
Quantum Dissipation Workshop at FRIAS
From July 24 to 26, 2015, FRIAS director Prof. Hermann Grabert brought together around 50 renowned scientists from diverse physics and chemistry communities to discuss the recent “Progresses and Perspectives in Quantum Dissipation”.
