Responsible AI: Normative aspects of the interaction of humans and intelligent systems
Systems that harness recent advances in analytics based on big data and advanced machine learning - 'intelligent systems' - are rapidly transforming basic and applied science, mobility, health care and many other sectors in society. In the FRIAS Research Focus 2018/19 'Responsible AI: Normative aspects of the interaction of humans and intelligent systems' researchers of the University of Freiburg from legal studies (Prof. Silja Vöneky), robotics and computer science (Prof. Wolfram Burgard), neurotechnology and neuroscience (Dr. Philipp Kellmeyer) and philosophy (Prof. Oliver Müller) will jointly examine important normative foundations and ethical, legal and social challenges of the interaction of humans and such intelligent systems. In the kick-off event, the researchers will present their projects and planned events for the academic year and provide a first opportunity for discussing important cross-cutting issues and for exchanging ideas with the audience.
Program:
6 p.m. - 7 p.m.: Presentation of the projects and events by the Research Focus Fellows
