FRIAS established a virtual soapbox for regular interdisciplinary exchange - the new FRIAS Reflections series.

This series is meant as an informal intellectual get-together for our fellows and the FRIAS community, consisting with a 10-15 minutes talk on a topic of choice, followed by 15-20 minutes of discussion and exchange. While we encourage reflections on academic life and research during and after Corona, the series will also incorporate talks on Science and Society in a Postfactual Era, as well as discussions of specific aspects or tangents of your current research projects.

This session on May 27th will be held by Janet Johnson, Brooklyn College, New York, Politics The politics of domestic violence before and during the pandemic
