The conference wants to address the gender and family perspective in migration decisions and their consequences for origin and destination countries.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Economics of family migration
- Gender differences in the determinants of migration
- Gender-specific selection patterns
- Consequences of migration for origin or destination countries
- Migration and fertility
Our focus is to bring together researchers who focus on different theoretical and empirical aspects of gender-specific and family-specific migration issues. We welcome both theoretical as well as empirical papers by economists and other social scientists.
