Aim of the workshop:
Our aim in organizing this workshop is to facilitate an exchange of views and new ideas on the use of phylogenetic and trait data for questions of community assembly, speciation and niche/trait evolution, including topics such as
1. Phylogenetic and trait data to infer, understand and predict niche evolution.
2. Connection between speciation and niche evolution
3. Biotic interactions in models of speciation and niche evolution
4. Using occurrence, phylogenetic and trait data to infer the importance of community-ecology mechanisms (e.g. coexistence mechanisms) both for local assemblies and biogeographic patterns.
