Niksa Kulisic was born in 1981 in Rijeka (Croatia). He moved to Trieste (Italy) in 1999 where he obtained his BSc and MSc in Chemistry in 2006 under the supervision of Prof. Enzo Alessio. In February 2007, he started his PhD in the group of Prof. Maurizio Prato at the University of Trieste, where he worked under the supervision of Dr. Aurelio Mateo-Alonso. In 2009, he moved to Freiburg for completing his PhD.

New heteroacenes as potential materials for electronics

Organic electronics is a research field based on the implementation of organic molecules into electronic devices. My research is focused on the design, synthesis and characterization of extended pi-conjugated molecules containing heteroatoms for the preparation of transistors and photovoltaic devices.
