New FRIAS Maldi Tof Mass Spectrometer Autoflex III. Enhanced possibilities for the analysis of polymer materials
Last year a new Bruker Autoflex III MALDI TOF Mass Spectrometer was installed at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry in Freiburg. The new high performance instrument allows measurements in linear-mode, high resolution reflecton mode and TOF/TOF (LIFT) mode which enables the usability in a variety of applications. By means of Maldi Tof information about molar masses or molar mass distributions of polymers in a molar mass range between 100 and 100000 daltons is available. Furthermore Maldi Tof can be used to obtain information about side reactions, end groups of polymers, the composition of copolymers or the structure of repeating units after polymeranalogous reactions.
