Discrete Element Method – Powder Behaviours and Packing Problem
DEM (Discrete Element Method) is a simulation method for particulate materials. It is proposed in the civil engineering field to simulate behaviors of sand and rocks. This method is also useful for other engineering fields, such as, powder metallurgy, chemical engineering and etc. This lecture consists of 2 parts; one is about simulations for pow-der metallurgy and the other is particle packing problem.”
