Circular RNAs
We have identified thousands of stably expressed circular RNAs (circRNAs), often showing tissue- or developmental-stage-specific expression. I will present biochemical, computational, and functional data which provide evidence that circRNAs form a class of previously overlooked post-transcriptional regulators. I will also discuss mechanisms for circRNA biogenesis and possible functions independent of miRNAs.
