Spatio-Temporal Dynamics and Synchronisation in Neural Systems
The brain represents a complex system of interconnected neural networks. To understand the information processing in the brain, it is necessary to both study theoretical models of the networks and the neural activity obtained from experiments. The presented work shows some recent results on spatially-extended neural populations that aim to explain experimental results. Further, the work illustrates the detection of phase synchronization in Local Field Potentials measured intracranially in the brain.
