Kyoto has been known as a traditional and historical place. However, another aspect of Kyoto related to technology is not known. Do you know the relationship between Edison and Kyoto? Do you know the reason why many famous temples at Kyoto are eager to use LEDs? How many high-tech companies do you know of that originated in Kyoto? In this talk, those less well known aspects of Kyoto and private remarks on the relationship between traditional culture and high-tech will be introduced.
