The urgency with which the university addresses its employees points to one of the general characteristics of academic careers in Europe: They are hardly reliably plannable in the earlier and sometimes even later PostDoc stages. Discussing options with peers helps to gain perspective and learn about opportunities what may be next steps after the FRIAS Fellowship.
