FRIAS Reflections with Jürgen Osterhammel

FRIAS would like to establish a virtual soapbox for regular interdisciplinary exchange - the new FRIAS Reflections series.

In this series, we would like to establish Our fellows to an informal intellectual get-together, consisting with a 10-15 minutes talk on a topic of choice, followed by 15-20 minutes of discussion and exchange. While we encourage reflections on academic life and research during and after Corona, the series will also incorporate talks on Science and Society in a Postfactual Era, as well as discussions of specific aspects or tangents of your current research projects.

The next session on July 8th will be held by Jürgen Osterhammel, University of Freiburg, History, on the topic: From "Connectivity" to "Contagion": Pandemic Reflections on a Conceptual Shift.
