Christian Böhler completed his B.Sc. in Microsystems Engineering in 2008 at the University of Freiburg (Germany). In 2011 he graduated from IMTEK Freiburg as a Master of Science with a Master thesis dealing on adhesion characterization and improvement strategies for thin-film metallizations on polyimide. In September 2011 he joined the group of Prof. Dr. Stieglitz (Laboratory of Biomedical Microtechnology, IMTEK Freiburg) as a staff member and in December 2011 he joined as a PhD under the guidance of Dr. Maria Asplund in the School of Soft Matter Research at FRIAS.
