FRIAS Research Project

The research group of Junior Fellow Bernhard Spielberg analyses the global transformations of Catholicism with special focus on strategies of Plurality, role Models and Questions of God (Globale Transformationen des Katholizismus: Pluralitätsstrategien – Rollenmodelle- Gottesfragen).  Franziska Seidler’s perspective will focus on the changing role of pastors in the Catholic Church of sub-Saharan Africa. The emphasis will be on the motivation, the training concepts and the underlying theological options.
