CV

I am currently an associate professor at Stony Brook University, and my area of research is algebraic geometry, more precisely Hodge theory and D-module theory and their applications to problems in birational geometry. I received my Ph.D. from Ohio State University in 2008, with Herb Clemens; after that, I was a postdoc at the  University of Illinois at Chicago and at Kavli IPMU near Tokyo. I have been at Stony Brook University since 2012. During the academic year 2013/14, I was on leave at the University of Bonn. My visit to FRIAS is funded by a Mercator Fellowship from the DFG (as part of GRK1821).

FRIAS Research Project

Singular hermitian metrics on vector bundles

  1. Together with Professor Mihai Paun we will work on some questions related to singular hermitian metrics on vector bundles.
  2. I will continue work on a book project about complex Hodge modules.
  3. I will give some lectures about the use of Hodge modules in birational geometry.
