The team led by Barbara Di Ventura, who has been Director of Natural Sciences at FRIAS since October 2022, wanted to use synthetic biology methods to improve the production of chemical compounds by bacteria. For their project "chAMBER", they received a gold medal and were awarded first place in the Foundational Advance Track of the competition in the Overgraduate category.

The Centre for Integrative Biological Signalling Studies (CIBSS) reports on the research team's success.
