Texts in Multiple Voices: Digital Genetic Edition of Nietzsche’s Lectures on Rhetoric

The aim of my research project is to create a genetic edition of Nietzsche's lectures on rhetoric. The genetic approach differs from other approaches to the study of texts because it aims not only to identify “what is on the page”, but also to reconstruct the process necessary to produce “what is on the page” by using the two major innovations introduced in the field of editorial theory in the last 30 years, that is, digital technologies and the methods of genetic criticism.
