Space for concentrated group research
For the Academic Year 2018/19 FRIAS again calls for applications for up to two research foci. Funding is directed at research fields in which the University of Freiburg excels, the objective being to enhance these selected areas further for greater international exposure. The programme is targeting teams of researchers from Freiburg which are characterized by outstanding academic performance and have ideally already achieved international visibility.
The programme allows for an intensive exchange and joint research between the members of the group. A research focus should include multiple fields and is characterized by a common research subject or a linking problem.
Up to two research foci may be funded. The call is open to all disciplines represented at the University of Freiburg. Eligible for application are teams of up to four full-time professors or junior professors of the University of Freiburg. The programme is open for topics from all academic disciplines represented at the University of Freiburg. The programme has a funding level of up to 400,000 Euro.
