FRESCO Integrative Biological Signalling Programme

Call for Applications 2018/19 closed

FRESCO is the Freiburg Research Collaboration Programme via which the University of Freiburg intends to establish lasting links between excellent national and international researchers from the European Campus and beyond with top research teams, notably the Excellence Clusters. FRESCO is managed by the university’s international research college FRIAS, the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies.

The FRESCO Integrative Biological Signalling Programme supports collaborative interdisciplinary research addressing fundamental questions in biological signalling studies. The funding programme specifically promotes research collaborations between signalling researchers at the University of Freiburg and partners in the trinational Upper Rhine Area, and research projects addressing the question of how signalling processes are propagated and integrated across scales of time and space.

FRESCO Groups receive funding for exchange and collaborative research activities, including personnel, consumables, travel expenses, symposia and the invitation of guest speakers.

The funding programme is intended to further strengthen integrative biological signalling research in the Upper Rhine area, and to expand the University of Freiburg’s international profile in this research area.
