„University-Based Institutes for Advanced Studies in a global Perspective: Promises, Challenges, New Frontiers“

The international conference “University-Based Institutes for Advanced Study in a Global Perspective: Promises, Challenges, New Frontiers”, planned to be held at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies in spring 2010 had to be postponed due to the eruption of Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano and the stop of air traffic. Now FRIAS is proud to announce the rescheduled date of the conference which will take place from 25th to 27th October 2010. Representatives from more than 25 university-based Institutes for Advanced Study (UB-IAS) from all over the world are invited by the FRIAS to take part in the first conference of its kind in the world. Institutions from Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia, as well as North and South America are scheduled to attend at the conference, all of which are highly respected academic colleges from internationally renowned research universities.
