Björn Witt began his studies in physics at Albert-Ludwig-University Freiburg in 2006. In 2008/09 he was exchange student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi/Kenya where he worked on dye-sensitized solar cells. Witt joined Junior Fellow Florian Mintert's group at FRIAS for his diploma thesis in December 2011.
