Exploiting Boron's Affinity for Saccharides in New Hydrogel Domains
Boronic acids reversibly interact with biologically important saccharides, using this interaction in novel hydrogels has resulted in functional materials for sensors and analytical devices for organic chemists. The development and application of this technology will be discussed.
